Iftar (breaking of the fast) during Ramadan is always treasured by friends, family and community. Unfortunately, in Guyana and many other parts of the world, this rich tradition is curtailed by the COVID-19 pandemic. In our prayers in the final nights of Ramadan let us collectively ask for normalcy to return and for the mercies and forgiveness of God. By the will of God and our own responsible action in getting vaccinated and following the protocols, we can get back to this rich tradition soon.
