President Dr. Irfaan Ali has concluded his flood assessment exercise in Region Five (Mahaica-Berbice) and Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne).

His Excellency, President Dr. Irfaan Ali has concluded his flood assessment exercise in Region Five (Mahaica-Berbice) and Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne). The President visited and met with residents and farmers of Fyrish, Chesney New Housing Scheme, Chesney Old Housing Scheme, Babu John, Miss Pohebe, Manchester, Mibicuri, Johanna, #52/53, #59, and #70 in Region Six. He visited Big Biaboo, Mortice, Wash Clothes/Hyde Park ,Barabara and Pine Ground in the Mahaica/Mahaicony area.
Dr Ali was accompanied by Minister of Agriculture, Zulfikar Mustapha; Minister of Local Government and Regional Development, Nigel Dharamlall; Head of the CDC, Lt. Col. Kester Craig; Head of the NDIA, Lionel Wordsworth and Regional officials.
