His Excellency Dr Irfaan Ali is presently engaged in an official meeting with the President of the Republic of Suriname, His Excellency Chandrikapersad Santokhi at the Arthur Chung Convention Centre

The two Presidents are set to continue dialogue on a wide range of topics including infrastructure, transportation, human resource capacity and capability, trade, security, oil and gas and agriculture.

Following the discussions between the two Heads of State, the delegates from both countries will then meet to advance bilateral discussions.

Senior Minister within the Office of the President with responsibility for Finance, the Honourable Dr Ashni Singh; Minister of Health and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (ag) the Honourable Dr Frank Anthony; Minister of Public Works, the Honourable Juan Edghill; Minister of Agriculture, the Honourable Zulfikar Mustapha; Foreign Secretary Robert Persaud and National Security Advisor, Captain Gerry Gouveia along with other representatives from both Governments are also expected to be part of a plenary session later this morning.
