Visas

(a) TOURIST VISA:

1. Completed application form

2. Two passport-size photographs with white backgrounds

3. Valid passport (at least six months validity)

4. Evidence of sufficient funds for the duration of the visit

5. Return air ticket

6. You must provide Evidence of accommodation in Guyana. (Hotel Reservation or Invitation letter)

(b) BUSINESS VISA:

1. Completed application form.

2. Two passport-size photographs with white background

3. Valid passport (at least six months validity)

4. Evidence of sufficient funds for the duration of the visit

5. Return air-ticket

6. Letter of invitation from business entity in Guyana

7. Bank account statement if the applicant is travelling on an “exploratory” mission.

8. If the applicant belongs to a business enterprise, a certificate/letter attesting to its existence or a copy of the legal registration of the company issued by the chamber of commerce or the private sector association of the applicant’s home country and authenticated by the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

9. If the person is representing a company, a letter from the company introducing the person and indicating the purpose of the trip and that it will cover all.

(c) STUDENT VISA

1. Completed application form.

2. Two passport-size photographs with white background

3. Valid passport (at least six months validity)

4. Name and address, telephone, fax numbers, e-mail address of the registered/accredited institution where studies will be done.

5. A copy of the student acceptance letter from the registered/accredited educational institution in Guyana.

6. Address and phone numbers of the student’s intended place while in Guyana.

7. Evidence of financial support while in Guyana.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

1. The VISA application form must be completed and sent to the Embassy (you can fill it out scan it and email it), your original passport must also be sent to the Embassy.

2. Passport should be valid for a minimum period of six months beyond the date of intended departure from the country you are applying from and should have at least two blank pages.

3. It is essential that applicants fill in their personal details as exactly available in their passports. Mismatch of any of the personal details would lead to non-acceptance of the application.

4. Passport in original and photocopy of the first five pages, visa page and address page to be submitted

5. Copy of Residence Proof / ID card issued by country of residence.

6. The application form should be filled in English only and ensure that all columns are filled neatly and correctly. Incomplete applications and those which lack details will be summarily rejected.

7. You must provide the airline ticket reservation so that we are aware of the arrival time and departure from Guyana. Kindly include the details of your intended address in Guyana, i.e.  if you will stay at Hotel please mention the Hotel details (name – address – telephones number) , if you will stay at your friend’s home please provide the  address, name and contact numbers.

8. Each visa application is considered on its merits and the Embassy may ask for additional information at any stage during the processing of the application. Submission of application along with prescribed fee does not guarantee issuance of visa.

9. Validity of all visas is counted from the date of the issue of visa and not from the date of entry into Guyana.

10. The Embassy may ask for additional documents, if needed, while processing the application for visa

11. The Visa if approved takes three working days to be issued.

12. The Visa fee is non-refundable

13. If you are residing outside of Kuwait, kindly ensure that you arrange with the courier service you have used to send your passport to Kuwait, to also uplift your passport upon completion from our Embassy. The Embassy is not responsible for any payments to be made to the courier service. It is the responsibility of the Visa Applicant to make these necessary arrangements with the courier company that they will use. Local post is not acceptable.

14. If you transmit money in excess of the required amount for the visa fees the Embassy will not bear the responsibility / cost for getting this back to you.

15. Further if you are married to a Guyanese, please submit the evidence of such.

16. The Embassy does not guarantee the issuance of a visa via e-mail / telephone etc.

17. Please adhere to all the requirements that have been outlined to you above and in the attachments.
18. The Embassy reserves the right to reject any visa application without providing a reason.

OTHER NOTES:

1. There is no assurance that a visa would be issued and any preparation or plan made for the journey would be done at the applicant’s own risk.

2. Failure to complete the form properly as well as to provide supporting documents will delay the processing of the application.

3. Under normal conditions, applications for visas should be submitted two weeks in advance of the proposed date of travel.

4. The granting of a visa does not necessarily guarantee entry into Guyana. Entry will be dependent upon satisfying the usual immigration requirements and procedures at the port of entry.

5. A visitor who without permission breaches his/her condition of entry while in Guyana may become eligible for deportation. 6. Persons wishing to extend their visas may apply at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Georgetown, Guyana.

2- Student Visa US$ 140
For a period of three years – Multiple entry

3- Business Visa US$ 140
For a period of five years – Multiple entry

4- Business Visa US$ 40
